Steve Natale as been obsessing over all things vintage his entire life. It all started with playing with Matchbox cars when he was a child (he still plays with them now). His Grandfather was a service writer at a Cadillac-Pontiac dealership in the 1960's and 1970's, and has fond childhood memories of visiting the dealership, hoarding automotive sales literature, and riding around in old Cadillacs his Grandfather was working on.
Steve has been involved with cars on many levels, having previously owned a repair shop, detail shop and a used car rental company. He has been a partner in a vintage car wrecking yard, parts store, restoration shop and has held a used car dealers license. Many vintage cars have passed through his hands in the last 35 years, but his first car was a 1950 Pontiac Fastback.
His other interests include travel, photography, food, craft beer, old movies and Roadside America. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area where he runs a successful marketing company with his wife Mary.
The Getway and In the Garage
Currently his interests are on vintage car photography and writing, visiting car collections and going to vintage car events both in Europe and the United States. His articles and photos have been published in numerous magazines and websites, and has recently co-authored a new book on, you guessed it, vintage cars.
